The nippy little Aeros are looking forward to defend the podium in the upcoming Round Island race in Howth on 11^th March. But we fully expect some naval warfare, whichever way we go, having managed to take all top three PY places in 2022.  This will be the first time for us to come together in 2023 and get a feel for what is ahead in an active summer calendar. It will whet our appetite as we take on the Atlantic swell three weeks later.

Many stalwarts have been racing competitively and training through winter, at home and abroad. But notably, this relatively small fleet has continued to grow steadily over the colder months and in recent weeks added another four boats across various clubs…. doesn’t sound much, but pre covid, there was only a handful in the country.

To ease the learning curve and encourage more racing, 3 of the six regional events will also involve coaching opportunities with ongoing more localised coaching in the interim.

In addition to the regional events, there will be a significant fleet contingent looking to the Worlds in July in Sardinia – so a busy season awaits.
